Lead Generation Strategy Using Amazon

Are you looking for new lead generation strategies to land more clients for your copywriting services?

Today, I will share with you another lead generation strategy that I personally use to find my ideal copywriting clients.

You might be surprised because we’re going for a different approach this time.

And it’s by using one of the world’s largest online retailing platforms.

What am I referring to?

It’s Amazon.com!

And nope, we’re not here to sell but we’ll look for prospects that need our help in writing copy that sells.

You see, there are a lot of industries hanging out in Amazon.com.

And from this wide array of retailers you may find coaches, authors, e-commerce store owners from different niches such as music, beauty, fashion and health.

Name it, Amazon sells it.

That’s why this big platform is the perfect place for you to find your next copywriting client.

Are you excited to learn how I do it?

Let’s start!

Say for instance, your target market are authors…

What you have to do is to click the drop down menu to see All Department where you can see all the product categories.

Select Books then hit the search icon.

You will then be redirected to a list of books available in Amazon.

To view all search results, just click See more.

Pick one book that falls under your target niche and click it.

From there, you will see the book’s author who is a qualified prospect that you can reach out to.

You can do the same process for all the books in the search results so you can extract a list of authors that you can add on your prospect list.

If you want, you can further narrow down your search depending on your target market.

Say for example, you want to help authors who are also speakers then you may find them there too.

Here’s another example..

Let’s try looking for businesses who sell products under automotive and car care.

Again, just go to the drop down menu and select the suited department.

This time, it’s under the Automotive & Industrial category.

You can also be more specific by typing keywords  like “interior accessories” in the search bar before hitting enter.

And just like what we did before, just select and click one product so you can view its brand or business name.

You have an option to visit their store and look for more details about them.

But if you can’t find any, you can just search the said brand or business name on Google so you can visit their official website.

Once you’ve found their website, you can browse their About section or Contact Us section for possible details like their email address.

Aside from that, you can also look for links to their social media platforms like their Facebook page or Instagram account.

Just visit those accounts and from there, you can also find their business email.

You can either message their Facebook page directly or send them a cold email.

Make sure to introduce yourself and start building rapport before offering your copywriting services.

You can also look their business name up at Linkedin to connect with their decision makers like the CEO, COO, founders, owners, or marketing head.

Start by building genuine relationships with them and in no time, you’ll land your next copywriting client.

Imagine, by simply searching this platform, you’ll end up with a rolodex of prospects that you can reach out to.

Plus, the chances of landing a client using this method is high since Amazon.com is an ocean of leads waiting to be tapped.

The secret: do your research.

I hope that starting today you will use Amazon in finding your ideal copywriting prospects and possible clients for your copywriting services.

Enjoy prospecting.
