Are you the type who is feeling shy reaching out to your copywriting prospects using Linkedin or Facebook messaging?
Do you feel more confident in sending cold emails to your qualified copywriting leads but don’t know where else to find their contact info?
Today, I am going to share with you three free email scraping tools that I personally use to extract email addresses of my copywriting prospects.
This is very helpful especially if you want to do cold emails to reach out to more prospects who might need your copywriting services.
Sending cold emails is another way of having access to your prospects instead of just sending them messages on Linkedin or Facebook.
You can also do your follow-ups through emails since not everyone is always active on their social media accounts.
So having their email addresses handy is a big help.
Here are the 3 free tools or should I say extensions that I am talking about…
Each of these tools allow you to search at least 100 email addresses a month for free.
This gives you approximately 300 email addresses using these tools alone.
Not bad for something free, right?
NOTE: Using these extensions greatly compliment the prospecting method I shared to you before using Google search. (Link to Google Search blog).
These 3 email scraping tools really work well when used on Linkedin.
Now, let me show you how to use them.
Step 1: Download and install
All you need to do is to download and install these three tools.
Once you have downloaded them, it’s icon will appear in your Chrome extension bar (if you are using Chrome).
Make sure you are logged in to each tool before proceeding with the next step.
Step 2: Extract email addresses
Now here is the fun part where we’ll start using these tools in extracting email addresses of your potential clients.
Say for example your target market is naturopathic doctors in the US.
Simply go to Google and type the keywords – top 10 naturopathic doctors in the US then press enter.
You will be redirected to lists of websites containing a catalog of your possible prospects.
Browse one website and look for names of people you want to reach out to.
What you’ll do next is go to Linkedin and search your chosen prospect’s name there.
And once you’ve found his profile, click on one of the email scraping tools you’ve just installed.
What I would recommend you is to try extracting the email address using one tool first.
For example, using Skrapp.
Automatically, it will show you the email address of that specific person.
Viola! You have just successfully extracted your prospect’s email address.
Make sure to save their email address in your prospecting list for your future reference.
If ever you are unsuccessful in your search using Skrapp, then you can move on to the next tool and try using Snov.io or Leadleaper.
Keep repeating this process using all tools until you find the possible email addresses of your prospect.
This process though very effective requires patience as there is no guarantee that you will be able to scrape all the email addresses you are looking for using these 3 tools.
But based on my experience, these tools have served me well and have greatly helped me level up my prospecting game.
You just have to manage your expectations because sometimes…
Even if you’ve found your prospect’s email address, there is still that probability that it might be outdated already.
So expect that your cold emails still have the tendency to bounce.
But that’s okay.
What matters is you tried reaching out and offering your copywriting services.
But worse comes to worst and you still haven’t found an email address upon using all 3 tools…
You can always check their Linkedin profile for their contact information.
Sometimes they indicate their email addresses there.
Still no luck?
Send them a connection request to add them on your network and just opt for the Linkedin messaging platform.
Another way is to check their website to see if they have their email addresses there.
There are many ways on how you can look for your prospect’s contact information.
You just have to be creative and resourceful.
Now we’re bound to the last and most important step…
Step 3: Send that cold email
Yay! You’ve collated a list of email addresses you can reach out to.
Now it’s time to send that cold email offering your copywriting services.
Make it personalized, genuine, and always coming from a place of help.
This will make you stand out from a sea of cold emails that your prospects receive on a daily basis. (they’re quite a lot!)
Cold emails can work wonders and can help you land your ideal copywriting clients.
But the real secret that makes it work is in the follow-ups.
Sending emails is a good follow-up medium so be consistent in keeping in touch with your prospects.
Lastly, this is a great communication alternative apart from messaging your prospects on their social media platforms just in case they aren’t that active online.
That’s it and I hope you learned something new today.
Hopefully, you start using this method in finding ideal copywriting clients of your own.
Enjoy prospecting.
