Rommel Mercado asked…
If I am to specialize and niche down…What would you recommend? Example: Email Copywriter for Course Creators
Dear Rommel,
It’s really up to you on which market you want to focus on.
Niching down takes times.
In fact, it took me 2 years to finally say that “this is my niche”!
I’ve been juggling between niches.
I’ve written for startups, SEO companies, flower shops, pet shops, music companies, and a whole other market before I decided to write for the health industry.
And to be honest, health market is the last thing in my mind.
Simply because I hate medical and scientific jargons.
Plus, the strict compliance.
But after my health went downhill…
I started to research about “how to trim your belly fat fast”, “how to lose weight fast”, “easy weight loss exercises”…
Until I realized…
Why not hit two birds with one stone?
Why not write for the health market, too?
That’s when I started writing for the health & fitness industry after 5 years of being a jack of all trades.
Since then, I never looked back.
I fell in love with it.
The point is…
Finding the “right” market/ niche for you may takes time.
You may go from one niche to another.
That’s fine.
As long as you don’t stop finding the right market.
Remember, it took me 2 years before I found my niche.
Lucky you if you’ll find it the sooner.
And if you’re not sure what kind of copy should you offer to your client…
I hope this vlog will help enlighten you.
